“Artificial Life, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALIF), today announced
support for the Linux platform across Artificial Life’s complete
eCRM (Internet based customer relationship management) product
line
and other upcoming products. Artificial Life (ALife) is
using the stability and power of Linux to offer robust, scalable
implementations of the Artificial Life eCRM solution. Several
Artificial Life customers have already successfully implemented
ALife eCRM products such as ALife WebGuide(TM) on Linux.”

“Net-tissimo.com, one of the most complex Internet sites in
Switzerland, uses ALife-WebGuide(TM), including ALife-server, on
Linux to provide customers with a virtual butler as their main
interface to the e-commerce site. Customers of net-tissimo.com can
communicate with the virtual butler bot in natural language. The
bot explains the system and products, searchs for products and
services, and communicates with clients even when they are not
browsing the net-tissimo.com site. The team at net-tissimo chose to
run ALife software on Linux because the platform allows net-tissimo
significant growth potential without changing platforms and Linux
integrates very well with HP- based infrastructure.”
