PRNewswire: Rackspace.com Opens Hong Kong Office and Names Scott Cloud Director of Asian Operations

“Rackspace.com, a leading provider of Linux-based Advanced
Internet Hosting services, today announced the opening of its
office in Hong Kong. Additionally, Rackspace.com named Scott Cloud
director of Asian operations for the company.”

With 45 percent of Rackspace.com’s business based outside
the United States, the company is experiencing heavy customer
growth from the Asian marketplace, in particular.
The Asian
office is a natural step in Rackspace.com’s expansion outside the
U.S. and London, where it established an office in January 2000.
Rackspace.com’s new office is located at One Pacific Place, 88
Queensway, Admiralty, in Hong Kong.”

“Cloud has 10 years of experience in the Asian business
community with HEI Power Corporation and Peak Pacific Investment
Company. Cloud was in charge of project development initiatives to
build and finance power projects in China. Cloud also has
experience with Coopers & Lybrand in Hong Kong and Andersen
Consulting in Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in
economics.”
