New features in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.8 include the libreswan library to provide an extra layer of security for VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), which replaces the previous implementation based on the Openswan project, the addition of new abilities to the Identity Management client code (SSSD) component to provide customers with better client-side performance and simpler management. Furthermore, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.8 ships today with the Relax-and-Recover system archiving tool to ease the life of system administrators, the dmstats tool for better visibility into storage usage and performance, as well as support for up to 300 TB on XFS formatted filesystems, thanks to the addition of the Scalable File System Add-on.
