"Herman, president of Blue Chip Computer Systems, a $2 million Los Angeles VAR, pitched them The Santa Cruz Operation Inc.'s (SCO) Unix operating system two years ago."

"In terms of marketing, SCO says it will spend significantly more on advertising this year compared with 1998. Some of that money will come from IBM Corp., with which SCO will jointly develop a 64-bit SCO Unix OS for Intel Corp.'s IA-64 microprocessor family that ships next year."
