The humble founder of Linux delivered a typically relaxed-yet-rousing keynote here Monday evening to a packed house of adoring followers."

"Yet despite the fascinating success of the OS and its open-source roots, Torvalds admitted that Linux still has shortcomings - although the ever-progressive nature of open-source computing fixes problems faster than other environments."

"Programmers just want to have fun," Torvalds said. "That's still the main reason programmers find open source so compelling." And addressing the allure of Linux and open-source within the corporate realm, he said, "It's about bringing users and developers closer together."
