"Romeo Colacitti, President of Worldwide Online Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Worldwide Data Inc. is pleased to announce that the company has been recognized as one of the first Application Service Providers (ASP) in Canada to join IBM's "Service Provider for e-business" initiative of IBM PartnerWorld, an initiative developed to enable the next generation of Service Providers."

"Entry into the IBM initiative coincides with the announcement of Worldwide's first two IBM-enabled applications. The first - a custom-designed, Firewall/Server, for a national client and the second, an ASP solution for a new e-commerce company. Both applications, which utilize the Netfinity Server products running the Linux OS, are being developed by Worldwide's, Linux Development Group."

"The combination of IBM's server products and Worldwide's Linux development skills, along with our ASP Team's expertise, have culminated in the awarding of these initial contracts. Both Worldwide and IBM are strong proponents of ASP solutions and the Linux OS, which is very evident in the development of these applications."
