"For the last six months, the Caldera Inc. (CALD) spinoff has played corporate Pac Man, gobbling up smaller companies at a pace of one acquisition per month. Lineo, which makes Embedix, is pushing to broaden its technology and engineering base."

"'Overall, I think the embedded market is fairly fragmented,' says Lineo chief executive officer Bryan Sparks. 'With more companies and developers moving to Linux, it's ripe for some kind of consolidation.'"

"On Monday, the Lindon, Utah-based company received another $37 million in game tokens to help finance its habit.
