"It's creeping into a lot of places," said Kevin Restivo, an analyst with IDC Canada. "It's being deployed in specific instances, though it's still not being relied on in a lot of mission-critical areas."

"That comment came as thousands of users, programmers and even Linus Torvalds, the operating system's creator, were heading to Toronto for the Linux Canada Expo which starts today and runs until Thursday."
