BW: GraphOn... and Compaq China... Partnership to Provide Complete Computing Solutions to China

"GraphOn Corporation, (Nasdaq:GOJO - news) www.graphon.com, developers of Bridges web-enabling software, and Compaq China today announced they have entered into an agreement to promote and develop joint market opportunities for their technologies in China."

"With the recent interest from the Chinese government in implementing an Internet and Linux strategy throughout the nation, GraphOn and Compaq China have a great opportunity to engage in the necessary business strategy to capture a significant market share in China," said Fanny Chan, Director of Marketing, Compaq China. "GraphOn has the technology to web-enable applications from any platform to any desktop while Compaq has the complete hardware solution to support server-based computing. Both companies also have excellent technology relationships they can bring to the table to serve all private and public sectors in China."

"GraphOn will expand its existing activities in China by incorporating Compaq China into the various projects that GraphOn is working on with the Ministry of Education in China. GraphOn has already showcased its web-enabling software technology to the Ministry and gained distribution rights for Corel Corporation' WordPerfect Office 2000 for Linux and Windows platforms and Corel LINUX OS for the desktop in China's education market."
