"Alta Terra Ventures... developer of the MaxOS Linux operating system, has announced that it has entered a licensing agreement with Pro-Active Health Inc. (PAH), a private US company providing health care providers with instant and secure patient information over a network only accessible to authorized users. The agreement permits PAH to run MaxOS Linux on its clients' servers and desktop computers, and the MaxOS Linux embedded OS in their hand held wireless units."

"Pro-Active-Health Inc. brings a new technology to the health care arena. It is a closed doctors' network designed to enhance healthcare to the patient, while assisting the professional healthcare provider in achieving a higher quality of patient service, improving the efficiency of the provider and still protecting the patients' privacy."

"It will automate many of the services of health care providers. In fact, many of the aspects that would appear to be PAH competition, such as chip cards, data base systems, medical billings, and patient file systems, are potential clients for PAH. The company is already marketing the product, and has received an order for the system in South Korea."
