"At the PartnerWorld conference this week in Atlanta, IBM Corp.
(stock: IBM ) said it expanded its Linux-focused You Pass, We Pay
program. Under the program, IBM will reimburse business
partners for up to $3,000 in tuition and test expenses for each
employee who gets certified via the Linux Professional Institute or
Red Hat Linux, said Richard Sullivan, vice president of
solutions and integration management at the vendor's software
"To help solution providers get ready for the Linux
certification process, IBM also unveiled the Ready, Set, Linux
initiative that offers business partners a half day of training and
workshops on Linux, a two-day workshop on software products for
Linux, and a full education curriculum leading to Linux
certification, Sullivan said. The program will be offered via IBM's
value-added distributors, he said."
