Microsoft's Doug Miller continues to make the rounds of
Linux-related events and sites, this time on ITWorld's discussion
forum, where he'll answer all comers. "As controversial and
emotion-stirring this discussion may become," urges the moderator,
"this is a rare opportunity for exchanging views and ideas.
Therefore, let's keep this discussion professional."
For those of you who are curious about who Doug Miller is, he's
been around the Linux scene more and more lately, strolling the
floor at LWE in New York and meeting with Linux media types at
COMDEX. His job title is "group product manager for competitive
strategies," though ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley calls him part of the
Microsoft "FUD squad." By all accounts, he's cheerfully amiable and
fairly up-front about his agenda.
