Subject: EST & BRU - News Alert

Dear Recipient,

This letter is to inform you that, on Monday, May 14, 2001, EST's parent corporation, Atipa, closed the doors on EST and BRU. With one exception, all employees were terminated on the spot. I've been retained in order to provide technical support for the next month.

Efforts are under way to reopen EST by EST personnel. If you're receiving this message, you will also receive an update by Monday, June 4, 2001. If we're successful, EST will be back in business in the near future and under independent control once again. Please note that we'll attempt to fulfill all orders within 72 hours of returning to business.

It would not be right to accept your order and money during this time of uncertainty but we're hoping you will accept our commitment to seeing that BRU survives.

For now, demo license strings will be provided to ensure that product expirations do not occur. If you need a demo extension, please write to support@estinc.com with the information below and extended strings will be sent:

Product: (BRU-Pro, BRU, BRU-PE)
Serial Number: (if available, if demo - so state)
Platform needed for: (uname -a)
Other items requested:

Again, whatever you need to order at this time will be delayed; however, the extended demo license strings will allow you to operate until July 21, 2001.

On behalf of all xEST employees, I'd like to thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of our legacy product.

Darrell Bingham
V.P. of Technical Support
