"'Everyone shares, and everyone gains,' says James Byrne, IT manager at moving and relocation firm the AES Group. Byrne oversaw the installation of a Linux-based system that serves 400 users in 15 countries, dealing with 30-40 different languages.

"Though the offer of something for nothing may indeed be enticing, installing Linux should in no way be considered a walk in the park, according to Byrne.

"'It's not for the faint of heart. You must be willing to fly by the seat of your pants,' he quips.
