"Linux is becoming an increasingly popular choice for thin
clients, and the open-source operating system could soon become the
dominant terminal platform, according to Wyse Technology.
"Wyse, a leading supplier of thin-client hardware, last week
introduced a range of terminals based on embedded Linux. Most of
Wyse's current products use Microsoft's Windows CE or Windows XP
Embedded (XPE). The latest devices are better suited to newer
corporate applications, said Wyse, and they cost less than
