"At the NASSCOM 2004 technology forum held in Mumbai today, Sun dispelled many misconceptions on Open Source, besides eagerly pushing its Java desktop system.

"Speaking on the occasion, Matt Thompson, director, technology outreach & Open Source programs office, Sun Microsystems, said, 'Sun is investing at a loss to support the cost of development, and costs associated with extending infrastructure to the Open Source community. We have the distinction of holding the maximum number of copyrights that any single company has ever achieved, as far as Open Source is concerned...'"
