"When Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's chief executive officer, comes
calling next week, he has to convince government-owned insurance
companies that rival Linux is no alternative to Microsoft's Windows
when it comes to running their businesses. The insurance majors
plan to spend Rs 400 crore [US$88.7 million/€68.3 million] to
create a single IT platform over the next four years.

Assurance--have decided to use Linux as the backend operating
system on which will run their core insurance solutions..."
