"Canonical will support Sun Microsystems' Niagara servers with the upcoming release of its Ubuntu Linux distribution, the companies are expected to announce Tuesday.

"Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (long-term support) will feature support for the T1000 and T2000 servers, which use the UltraSparc T1 processor formerly known as Niagara, said Mark Shuttleworth, founder of Canonical. That version is scheduled to be released on June 1, he said..."
