"Microsoft shareholders are overwhelmingly positive about the performance of the company, and many said they were undeterred by the negative ruling by a federal judge last week...."

"I can't see anyone at this meeting feeling at all threatened," said David Rackner of Houston, a shareholder since 1987. "The only threat I can see is the advent of Linux and computer appliances that don't run Windows."

"Judge Jackson's ruling, he said, was totally expected and would have no effect."
