"The BlackDog is one of the smallest Linux servers. It touts as 'world's first USB powered Linux server.'

"The box is very lightweight, feeling like an empty plastic box. On board the system is a mini USB 2.0 connector, a MMC slot and a fingerprint scanner. The device is powered by a 400Mhz PowerPC chip and comes in 256 or 512MB on board flash memory and 64MB RAM.

"The packaging of the device has a tongue-in-cheek attitude, with remarks like 'Serving size: Fits in your hand,' 'Some engineers may have been harmed in the making of this product.' Inside the 'doggy bag' is a small box which contained the SDK DVD, the mini USB cable and a mini USB to USB adapter, and of course the device itself.
