Microsoft bashing in this article, I just want to put that to rest
right away. I'm not. Well, for the most part. What I do want to do
is lay out a few facts that need to be said. All the recent huss
and fuss over Microsoft's patent FUD campaign and their 'we will
sue you unless you pay us grievous amounts of cash'; threatening of
Linux is only the tip of the iceberg in a much larger war. A war
that, interestingly enough, started about 3 years ago. Not the
total war on Linux. Just this particular battle. And I must say,
Linux is losing this one right now. It's been caught in a surprise
attack it wasn't expecting and because of that several of its
strongholds have been overrun. That's not to say that Linux is done
for. Far from it. If anything, this latest stage in the battle has
done the one thing that Microsoft least intended and most
definitely didn't want. It's making Linux and Open Source
stronger..."
