"Puppy Linux is a light weight Linux distribution built from
scratch and born in mid 2002. Its creator, Barry Kauler, originally
created Puppy Linux as a fun project to do in his spare time. But
recent tension in the community and Barry's 'Benevolent Dictator'
approach to licensing and managing the distribution, mixed with his
somewhat laid back and hands off, or at times overly aggressive
form of management, have spawned some heated controversy of late.
But internal politics aside, let's get a look at this light weight
