For those not in the known, CODE is a specially crafted edition of the upcoming LibreOffice Online HTML5/Cloud-based version of the popular office suite used by millions of computer users worldwide on GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows operating systems. LibreOffice Online is not yet ready for production, but Collabora managed to put together CODE as a development version of the cloud-based LibreOffice. The biggest new feature of the CODE 2.0 release is also the most requested one, namely collaborative editing, allowing multiple users to work on the same text document, spreadsheet, presentation by adding comments and replies to comments, as well as selecting text and elements. We recommend that you check out the gallery below to see the new collaborative editing functionality in action.
