How-To: Resolve Ubuntu Wireless Problems

“Since starting on my quest for a flawless wireless support with
Ubuntu Dapper, and then finally understanding the level of support
to be expected with the Ubuntu distro itself, I’ve come to the
following conclusions.

“First off, if you consider yourself the ‘do it yourself’ type,
then working to get the wireless functionality working the way you
would like to is certainly doable. For some it will be an out of
the box experience, but for most people, there will indeed, be a
firm time investment spent in the Ubuntu forums…”
