“There will be a press conference on Wednesday, April 26, in
Boulder Colorado, regarding the successful production use of “jet”,
a 276-node Alpha Linux Supercomputer. This is the first Linux
cluster to ever win a traditional competetive procurement for a
supercomputer.”

WHAT: A press conference with one of NOAA’s leading weather
technology experts and the president of a pioneering computer firm
to unveil JET, a $15 million super computing system recently
installed at NOAA’s Forecast Systems Laboratory in Boulder,
Colo.
