Copies of Back Orifice 2000 were distributed last saturday at DefCon VII, the hackers conference that is being held in Las Vegas.

Back Orifice 2000 can be used to grant access to a Windows NT machine with superuser privileges. For the first time, this application is distributed with source code, distributed under the GNU/GPL license. This fact could make more difficult to prevent the effects of the use of this application, because having access to source code will cause that multiple versions of the application could be spread quickly around the globe.

You can reach the binaries and sources of Back Orifice here, here or here.

Microsoft has published web pages informing about the dangers of Back Orifice 2000..
