"LinuxPPC is a name very familiar to many linux enthusiasts running on Macintosh or other PowerPC hardware. They truly helped pioneer the linux effort for PowerPC machines in the beginning. With many more distributions now available and the forthcoming devopers edition from LinuxPPC many doors have opened for the PowerPC users out there. Many more may soon be opening."

"Mark: What about G4 support?
Jason: The 400 MHz G4 already runs, although not all that well. X and sound have big problems. That's true for all Linux/PPC versions. The 400 MHz G4 is where the iMac was last December: it ran, but it was unstable. Now the iMacs are great Linux boxes!"
