"I'd like to welcome Progeny to the club. They just put out the first version of their distribution not to long ago and already 4 security advisories, which is good because it means they take security reasonably seriously (long term commitment is what counts, of course, because security is a process that never ends). In any event they are doing a much better job then several vendors that attempted to get into the Linux market (*cough*Corel*cough*). As usual it appears to be a catch up week although SuSE has mentioned some problems in their sudo, man and NEDit (I wish other vendors would mention upcoming problems in advance, like SuSE does)."
"BTW: the thing about rioting IT workers was a joke."
"We lead off with general advisories and exploit code, then move to vendor advisories. Most items appear in alphabetical order. If we're missing a Linux vendor's advisory, please tell us - ditto for any Linux-related security alerts. The long strings of hex in front of package names are MD5 signatures."
