This week, advisories were released for Apache, fetchmail, xinetd, gnupg, rxvt, kdelibs, exim, ispell, webmin, and w3m. The vendors include Conectiva, Debian, Immunix, Mandrake, Red Hat, and TurboLinux. There are many buffer overflow type vulnerabilites this week. Keeping the most current packages installed is a good way to reduce the risk of being vulnerable.
Linux Advisory Watch is a comprehensive newsletter that outlinesthe security vulnerabilities that have been announced throughout the week.It includes pointers to updated packages and descriptions of each vulnerability.
