In response to a recent vulnerability announced regarding the Apache web server, we have released fixes8 for SmoothWall Corporate Server 1.0, and fixes1 for SmoothWall Corporate Server 2.0, which are both available for download. These fixes replace the affected files in SmoothWall so that the potential vulnerabilities are removed.
To download and apply this update, go to the Updates page in your Corporate Server web interface (in Corporate Server 2.0, this is in the Maintenance section), and click Refresh Update List at the bottom of the page. You can now click the Info links to download the patch, and use the Browse/Upload buttons to apply it.
Thanks go to Mark Cox at Apache for his enthusiasm and assistance over the last 18 hours. Lets hope next time ISS keep their heads firmly up their bottoms and engage brain before "releasing a vulnerability warning and a fix". How impressive a bunch of people they are - NOT.
