"Afick is a fast and portable utility which acts as an aid in intrusion detection as well as helping to monitor the general integrity of your system. Afick was written by Eric Gerbier and is distributed under the GNU General Public License. It is available for a number of platforms in both binary and source formats.

"I first found out about Afick a few months ago when I was searching for a utility which would monitor file changes on a given system, and then report back to me on what had changed and when. There are a number of utilities available which have similar functionality such as Tripwire and AIDE, and, while I am sure they all have their strengths and weaknesses, I find Afick to be best suited for my preferences, your mileage may vary..."
