"Have you seen the recent AOL commercials pushing their new anti-virus/anti-spyware feature? I'm sure many of you have but for those that haven't, it depicts many regular AOL users who wish for absurd things like 'I want my computer to slow down' or 'I want someone to steal my private information.' While this is a pretty comical look at every day users, it's making a much larger statement about how we actually operate, and that's what makes it so funny. Some people just don't understand computer security at all, and I'm not saying we shouldn't expect an AOL user to know everything, but when the people who do know (and I use this term very loosely) about system security are promoting the use of an unsafe PC configuration, there's a problem. As you read this article, you'll understand where I'm heading with this..."
