Apache OpenOffice 4.1.3 is now the latest and most advanced build of the powerful office suite, bringing various under-the-hood improvements and enhancements to keep the software project reliable and stable. The most important one being a fix for a security issue that could have allowed remote attackers to cause a denial of service (system crash) or execute malicious code via crafted MetaActions in ODP and OTP files. Moreover, Apache OpenOffice 4.1.3 is here to patch a regression from the previous maintenance update, which affected all database tables and queries when using the office suite on the Mac OS X platform. Various enhancements were added to the included build tools, including Xcode 10.11 SDK (Software Development Kit), which is now correctly recognized.
