Feb 24, 2000, 19:49 (1 Talkback[s])

"Microtest, a leading developer of storage and application appliances for computer networks, today introduced FileZerver(TM), the first network appliance designed to meet the growing file storage and management needs of departments and workgroups, at the CeBIT Conference and Expo in Hanover, Germany."

"Unlike other appliances limited to serving the smaller workgroups, FileZerver is highly scalable, providing users with a long-term solution to the rapidly growing need for file storage and management," said Jean-Yves Chevallier, Director of Marketing, Network Appliances and Storage Division with Microtest. In addition, Chevallier said that FileZerver provides broader RAID drive support than competing systems."

"While it is a highly powerful, Linux-based solution, FileZerver can be installed and configured in less than five minutes without the need of assistance from increasingly hard-pressed corporate Information Technology departments."
