"Windows NT Server 4.0 faster, more scalable than Linux as a file and Web server, tests show" "Tests done by Mindcraft, an independent testing lab, found that Microsoft® Windows NT® Server 4.0 is 2.5 times faster than Linux as a file server and 3.7 times faster as a Web server. Comparing comparable Linux and Windows NT Server-based systems, Mindcraft found that Windows NT Server 4.0 could handle more requests and test systems while maintaining a higher level of performance. Windows NT Server 4.0 also reached a higher peak performance as both a Web and file server."
