There is a project being implemented to build a new architecture for Web searching, categorization, and ranking. It is to be contributed to, maintained, and controlled collectively and consistently by all the people who create the Web pages. The core ideas of the project are to use peer evaluation and collaborative information ranking and categorization. This allows building a search engine and directory better than the currently available ones (including Google and Open Directory).
