"The Oracle Corporation, the largest
database software company, plans to create a new
company that will sell $199 network computers, its chief
executive, Lawrence Ellison, said Wednesday."
"The new computers will use the Linux operating system, Netscape
Navigator Web browser and an Intel microprocessor, Ellison said.
The new company is likely to sell shares in an initial stock
offering, Ellison said, without giving a specific timetable."
