:AP: IBM in hot water over Linux 'graffiti'
AP: IBM in hot water over Linux 'graffiti'
Apr 25, 2001, 19 :44 UTC (35 Talkback[s]) (7679 reads)

IBM's crossed another city in its "Peace, Love, and Linux" sidewalk graffiti campaign. This time it's Chicago, and the city says it may press a fine and charge for the cleanup.

The AP reports that this run-in was sparked by the arrest of an IBM employee caught "painting" the campaign symbols, who now faces property damage and vandalism charges.

If the material used to draw the images is the same as that used in San Francisco, where IBM faced similar problems

, it's reportedly bio-degradable and water soluble. On the other hand, CNN reported that rain failed to wash off the graffiti on San Francisco's sidewalks.
