ZDNet: Is BSD Getting Lost Amidst the Open Source Salvos?

(Other stories by Evan Leibovitch)

ZDNet's Evan Leibovitch is dressed to incite with this column, in which he discusses the absence of BSD advocates from the assorted "Linux is/isn't unamerican" skirmishes of late:

"...BSD supporters are ironically being tarred with the same brush as the GPL many of them dislike. This must especially irk some folks who believe the Linux camp is in desperation mode since Apple and Microsoft, they say, are using BSD code and the GPLers are feeling left behind."

His core provocation is simply "if BSD's better for building a business, where's the support from the major players?"
