TheLinuxReview: Loki Software files Chapter 11

(Other stories by jd)

An anonymous contributor writes: "As a matter of public record Loki Software has filed Chapter 11."

LinuxReview has the scoop, which is very small:

"Apparently, Loki owes Activision USD 330,000 and Prolix USD 100,000. Here is a graphic of the bankruptcy filing. (14k). Yvonne Desollar of Loki Software stated , "They have no comment at this time" when asked about the bankruptcy proceedings."

Key to LinuxReview's small story is a PDF the site has made available of a Chapter 11-related document advising one of the company's creditors of its rights. The creditor's name is obscured.

A rather helpful reader has pointed to a link explaining Chapter 11 (reorganization) bankruptcies:

Cornell's Legal Information Institute provides information on Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, which readers may care to compare and contrast with Chapter 7 (Liquidation) Bankruptcy
