"Each run of x11 perf did about three hundred and eighty tests. Each test was repeated five times and averaged out. I saved the results of each test to a log file for later comparison. ,p>"After all tests had run I then compared the results with a program called x11perfcomp which gave a nice little table of each test runs comparison against a base test run. This I saved into a file and averaged out a performance score for each window manager.
