"HK -- The Clutter source code also includes config options for several "embedded" backends, including iPods/iTouch devices, and Linux devices running X or a raw framebuffer. Are these still under active development, or has the huge popularity of netbooks shifted the focus, temporarily or otherwise, away from embedded devices?

"EB -- The Clutter team is made of developers coming from the Embedded world, and we never forget our roots. Unfortunately, the amount of time that we can devote to test embedded hardware has been somewhat limited by the Netbook user experience for Moblin. Another limiting factor has been the fact that there are no Free and Open Source implementations of OpenGL|ES available -- your only chance of actually using a proper GL|ES implementation and not a simulator is running Clutter on a real hardware platform."
