DietPi is a lightweight Debian based Linux distribution for SBCs and server systems, with the option to install desktop environments, too. It ships as minimal image but allows to install complete and ready-to-use software stacks with a set of console based shell dialogs and scripts.

The project released the version DietPi v10.3 on April 18th, 2026.

The highlights of this version are:
Orange Pi 4 LTS: New image
Prometheus server: New software package
QuiteRSS: Removed software package (QuiteRSS has no Trixie support any more)
DietPi-Drive_Manager: Option for USB disk auto-mount added
DietPi-AutoStart: Added option for auto-starting Amiberry-Lite
Home Assistant: Migrated from pyenv to uv (installing and managing HA environment)
Fixes for Allwinner H5/H6, Rockchip RK356x, Orange Pi Zero 2W, DietPi-AutoStart, DietPi-Config, DietPi-Software, DietPi-Dashboard, Home Assistant
