EndeavourOS is a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux, designed to provide a near “vanilla” Arch experience while simplifying installation and initial setup. Unlike pure Arch, which requires manual configuration, EndeavourOS uses a graphical installer (Calamares) that allows users to quickly deploy a working system with their preferred desktop environment.

The project emerged as a spiritual successor to Antergos, focusing on community-driven development and simplicity. It aims to strike a balance between accessibility and control, offering a clean base system that users can customize according to their needs. This makes it particularly appealing to intermediate users who want to learn Arch Linux without going through its complex installation process.
