Onyx Launcher 1.6.3 is now available as an MIT-licensed Minecraft launcher for Windows and Linux, with Linux builds distributed as an AppImage and a portable tar.gz archive. It combines isolated instances, built-in Modrinth discovery, automatic Eclipse Temurin 8/17/21 management, Crash Bisect, performance diagnostics, World Guard snapshots, and portable backups.

The project uses Microsoft device-code authentication, does not bundle Minecraft files, publishes SHA-256 checksums, and builds Windows and Linux releases in public CI. The linked press kit includes English screenshots, direct downloads, release notes, and source links.
