PowerTUI (shutd) is a new C++11 utility designed to replace the “blind” nature of standard terminal shutdown commands. It features a real-time TUI progress bar, interactive safety buttons (Tab/Arrow support), and a unique “Inhibitor Check” that polls systemd-inhibit. It warns users if applications like browsers or media players are currently blocking power state changes, preventing accidental data loss or interrupted downloads.
