EasyOS is far from being a mainstream distribution, it “goes its own way”.
Run in RAM, immutable, highly integrated custom containers, run each app as its own user, busybox init with pup_event event management, staying with Xorg and has lots of gtk2 apps. Four package managers; PKGget, SFSget, Appi and Flapi — the linked article has a link to more details how and why EasyOS is different from any other Linux distribution.
Version 7.3 is a “milestone” release, a huge number of fixes and improvements since 7.0, the start of the Excalibur-series that enhanced the package manager PKGget to be a GUI for apt the Devuan/Debian packaging system.
