In this article we will deep-dive in SystemRescue, an utility OS often used in computer repair shops, alongside Clonezilla.

SystemRescue (formerly SystemRescueCd) is a Linux-based live system designed for system administration, troubleshooting, and data recovery. It runs directly from a USB stick or CD/DVD without requiring installation on the hard drive. This makes it extremely useful when a system is no longer bootable or when the installed operating system is damaged.

Its primary purpose is to provide a reliable environment for repairing systems and recovering data. Users can access storage devices, fix boot issues, recover deleted files, and perform disk maintenance operations even when the main OS cannot start. Because it operates independently, it ensures that no further damage is caused to the affected system during recovery procedures.
