at Comdex Las Vegas – the largest computer show in the world.”

Geared to new and desktop home users, Corel is delivering
on a promise of ease of use and choice other than Microsoft
Windows.
“Corel LINUX OS is a major leap forward in creating a
large desktop market for Linux, and we are very pleased to be
launching this landmark version of the most user-friendly Linux OS
distribution to date,” said Dr. Michael Cowpland, president and
chief executive officer of Corel Corporation.”

“The operating system can be downloaded today from Corel’s web
site at www.corel.com. Corel will be offering three different
flavours including a freely available version downloadable from
Corel.com; a Standard and Deluxe versions. The Standard version
will retail for USD$59.95 while the Deluxe will retail for
$89.95.”
