“I had the pleasure of meeting Corel representatives at the
recent Comdex in Las Vegas (see CPUReview’s Comdex report, and
AboutLinux’s Linux Business Expo report); and I look forward to
reviewing the boxed Corel distribution when it is available.”

“Last week I downloaded, burned and installed a copy of the new
Corel 1.0 Linux distribution. Initially I had intended to do a
“Preview” type of an article; but then I decided that you (my
readers) would find an informal guided tour of a typical Corel
Linux installation more useful.

“You should realize that this is the first “release” of a Linux
distribution from Corel; and as such it is not surprising that it
has some rough edges, and some of the new tools introduced by Corel
Linux (that are Open Source) go far in making up for the problems
that I (and others) have found.”
